Nicola managed her own successful private practice in Sydney before accepting an ‘opportunity of a lifetime’ to work for Canyon Ranch Spa Club on the Queen Mary 2.

After a five year adventure on the high seas treating and educating people on the benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Nicola returned to Australia at the end of 2008. Nicola worked at Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic in Maroubra, Sydney, until relocating to Brisbane in 2009 to take up the role of Senior Acupuncturist at the Acupuncture and Natural Therapy Centre West End.

In June 2009 Nicola opened her own business, Acupuncture Emporium, operating from two locations: West End and Indigo Health for Mind & Body at Mount Gravatt. In January 2013 Nicola purchased the Acupuncture and Natural therapy Centre from Phil Vanderzeil and has continued his legacy to provide the community with an excellent complementary health clinic. Nicola now also manages the Safflower clinic in Newhaven and has permanently moved into the Bass Coast Shire.

Brigitte has been practicing as a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist since 2001. Following the completion of her training in Melbourne, she moved back to her homeland of Switzerland to be with family, take on a lecturing job and continue her practice. In 2008, Brigitte permanently migrated to Phillip Island (Victoria) where she also manages a national herbal Safflower Chinese Medicine dispensary service for practitioners. Brigitte has a strong interest in supporting new graduates and mentor other practitioner. Nikki Stanes (BA Social Work (Hons.), Bachelor of Arts (Hons.))

Nikki is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. She has 20 years experience as a social worker predominantly in a counselling role. Nikki has specialised as a sexual assault counsellor for the majority of her career. Her experience has included leadership and providing supervision. She works with women, men, adolescents and children. Nikki is passionate about giving clients a space to feel safe to speak their truth and build on their strengths. She believes in a holistic approach to recovery and working collaboratively.

Nikki is able to see clients for up to 10 sessions under a GP Mental Health Plan. She will see clients under Victims of Crime and prepare reports for this. She also provides supervision to professionals in the sector.
