Mental health issues within our community are constantly on the rise with 1 in 5 Australians aged 16-85 experiencing mental illness each year and over half never accessing any treatment. We know it is imperative that we address this situation by educating the public and sharing some techniques that can help manage these ever-growing conditions such as anxiety and depression.
During this free event, we will be discussing why mental health rates are on the rise and what we can do to maintain a balanced and healthy mind. We will explore both Chinese (Vicki Iliopoulos, Jahanara Monaf & Brigitte Linder) and Western medicine (Dr Carol Head) approaches to mental health and share a range of methods and tools to help manage stress.
